With references to the artist's own experience of emotional abuses and coercive control, this work explores the role of the female perpetrators in honour-based violence against women. It was inspired by the works of Surrealist Leonora Carrington and research papers by criminologist Rachael Aplin, and other studies on honour-based violence and honour-killing.
